Scrapjack has no ads and never sells your data. Accounts are optional. This page covers the web version at scrapjackgame.com.

YOUR SAVES

Your progress, Collection and settings are stored in this browser on this device. Without an account they stay on your device, except for details you choose to include in a feedback report. Clearing the site's data deletes them.

ACCOUNTS

An account is optional and lets another device pick up your progress. If you create one, Amazon Cognito keeps your email address and a hashed form of your password; the game's server never sees the password. A copy of your save is stored with it: your Collection, Tickets, achievements, decks, Stats totals, any Run in progress and your game settings. Volume and radio stay on each device.

Your email is used only to send sign-up and password-reset codes. Delete account in Settings removes the email, the login and the saved copy at once, and backups of the saved copy are gone within 7 days. The copy on your device stays until you clear the site's data.

PLAY STATISTICS

To learn how the game gets played, the site uses Amazon CloudWatch RUM. It records:

• page loads, load times and errors
• device type, browser, operating system and language
• approximate location (country, region and city), worked out from your IP address; the address itself is not kept with the statistics
• play events: modes started, matches and their results, runs, shop purchases and choices, Jokers played, match length, packs opened, achievements, tutorial progress, and the lifetime totals on your Stats screen
• whether a visit is marked as the developer’s own browser or an automated test, so those visits can be separated from public player counts
• whether you are signed in, and when an account is created, signed in, signed out or deleted

These are tied to a random ID, never to your name, email or account.

FEEDBACK

Feedback is sent only when you submit the form. Formspree receives your description, feedback type, report ID and optional reply email, and delivers the report to the developer’s inbox. If you include device and game details, the report also contains your browser information, language, window size, game build, current screen and a limited match snapshot (turn, your hand, routes and Run progress). You can preview or exclude those details before sending. Account credentials, your account email and the full save are not attached automatically.

Formspree processes the request, including standard connection information such as your IP address, under its privacy policy. Feedback drafts stay in memory until you send them or reload the page. Reports are retained in Formspree according to the account plan and may remain in the developer’s email inbox for follow-up.

COOKIES

The statistics script sets two cookies on this site: cwr_s, a session ID, and cwr_u, a random visitor ID that lets us count returning players. There are no advertising or cross-site cookies.

SERVER LOGS

Like most websites, the server keeps standard access logs (IP address, browser, page requested and time) for security and troubleshooting.

HOW LONG IT IS KEPT

Play statistics are deleted after one year, server logs after 90 days. Account data stays until you delete the account. Those services use Amazon Web Services in the United States. Feedback uses Formspree and email as described above.

OPTING OUT

Blocking client.rum.us-east-1.amazonaws.com with a content blocker stops the statistics entirely. The game plays the same either way.
